Therapy and self-exploration
Are you seeking deeper self-connection, understanding your inner patterns, and initiating meaningful change in your life?
My approach combines trauma-sensitive therapeutic work with a holistic framework that creates space for profound inner growth and transformation.
I gently support people in connecting with their emotional and physical experiences and in exploring inner dynamics such as different parts or aspects of the self.
The focus is not on fixing something — but on getting to know yourself more deeply, reconnecting with your resources, your agency, and finding new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Themes that might emerge in this space of self-inquiry
– Feeling more grounded and connected to your body and emotions
– Understanding inner blocks or recurring patterns
– Strengthening inner stability and self-trust
– Setting healthy boundaries
– Connecting with your life energy and healthy anger
– Allowing closeness and autonomy
– Expressing needs more clearly
– Exploring what it means to live from a place of truth and connection
Each process is unique. You bring your intention or question — and we take time to explore what wants to be seen and understood. Sometimes this means meeting difficult emotions or old coping patterns. Sometimes it means reconnecting with your strength, clarity, or longing.
This work can support people who:
– Feel stuck in certain areas of life or relationships
– Experience emotional overwhelm, inner stress, or psychosomatic symptoms
– Live with the effects of trauma or difficult childhood experiences
– Notice repeating patterns that impact their relationships or well-being
– Long for a deeper connection to their emotions and body
– Are looking for therapeutic support in a mindful, body-oriented way
– Want to explore their true being

Trauma knowledge for therapy and self-exploration
Understanding Trauma and Its Impact
Trauma is often linked to major incidents. However, many traumas begin in early childhood and leave lasting marks on our nervous system and our relationships. They are widespread in our society and play an important role in both therapy and self-exploration.
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
— Rumi
Traumatic experiences can be deeply painful and affect many parts of our lives. I don’t want to downplay the real suffering they cause. At the same time, from my own experience, I believe that wounds can also offer a path toward growth, greater self-awareness, and authenticity. It may open the door to profound inner inquiry. When approached with care and support, the impact of trauma can become a catalyst for self-awareness, growth, and a more authentic relationship with life.
What happens in trauma?
Trauma occurs when a person’s inner balance is shaken by stress or threat. Our bodies respond with protective reactions—fight, flight, or freeze. If these responses remain unresolved, they can lead to ongoing emotional, physical, and psychological distress.
Types of trauma
-
Shock trauma: Sudden, one-time events such as accidents, losses, or natural disasters.
-
Attachment trauma: Results from prolonged stress in childhood—often due to overwhelmed or unavailable caregivers—and affects our self-image and relationships.
-
Complex trauma: Repeated traumatic experiences (e.g., violence or neglect), often with deeper and more persistent effects.
-
Intergenerational trauma: Experiences such as war or systemic oppression that pass from one generation to the next when they remain unprocessed.
Symptoms and Possible Effects
Trauma can show up in many ways. Common signs include:
-
Nervous-system dysregulation (hyper- or hypo-arousal)
-
Difficulty feeling or managing emotions
-
Disconnection from bodily sensations
-
Negative self-image, toxic shame, or guilt
-
Sleep problems and trouble concentrating
-
Struggles in relationships or attachment
-
Psychosomatic complaints, anxiety, depression, burnout
How trauma-informed work can help
Trauma-focused approaches aim to support nervous-system regulation, rebuild a sense of safety and agency, and integrate split-off feelings or parts of the self. Depending on the trauma type, methods may include:
-
Shock trauma: Processing the event, releasing trapped energy, and re-anchoring in the body.
-
Attachment trauma: Building emotional capacity, working with internalized patterns, and integration on emotional, bodily, and cognitive levels.
-
Complex trauma: Resource-building, strengthening safety, and holding a steady therapeutic relationship
About Me

After completing my training as a Healing practitioner for psychotherapy, I increasingly specialized in trauma therapy and continued my training with experienced trauma therapists. My many years of experience in business administration showed me how important it is not only to function efficiently, but also to truly stay connected to oneself. Today, I support people in (re)discovering this access.
My work is enriched by many years of spiritual practice and meditation. I provide a grounded psychotherapeutic setting that allows depth and authenticity. In this safe space, whatever needs to be felt, seen, or expressed is gently held - including the spiritual dimension, if it arises.

Online Sessions
I also offer online consultations. Online work has proven particularly useful these days.
For people with therapeutic indications, one or more in-person meetings are essential, at least initially. If due diligence allows, we may consider conducting online sessions.
There are now studies that recognize the online format as effective and suitable for counseling and therapeutic work, see e.g. https://www.therapie.de/psyche/info/therapie/online-therapie/wirksamkeit/
We'll schedule an appointment and meet for a consultation via video chat with audio and video. I use a special, secure online service for this type of consultation.
Online counseling cannot replace psychotherapy. If, based on the problem described, I feel that in-person therapy or therapy with another specialized therapist or specialist would be more appropriate, we will discuss this together.
Acute Emergency
In an emergency, please contact the Berlin Crisis Service (www.berliner-krisendienst.de) or the crisis service in your city or the nearest clinic.
